When you think about Las Vegas, gambling is probably the first thing that comes to mind – hit the Casinos, and take your chances on the tables. Attending a concert or a show, comedy act, people watching, and eating at some of the world’s best restaurants, are all things to keep you entertained. Besides these everyday activities, here few things that make Las Vegas a city on the MOVE.
Thrill seekers who want to Make Motion Work should check out Fremont Street’s SLOTZILLA, a 12-story slot machine inspired zip line that runs the length of Fremont Street. The SlotZilla Las Vegas urban zip line is unlike any other experience in Las Vegas, or the world, and is guaranteed to quicken your pulse and give you a rush.
A National Historic Landmark, Hoover Dam is the highest concrete dam in the Western Hemisphere, standing at more than 725 feet above the Colorado River. With 17 generators producing 4 billion kilowatts of electricity a year, it also is one of the country’s largest hydroelectric power facilities. The Dam is 35 miles south of Las Vegas on U.S. 93. The power is jaw dropping.
Cirque du Soleil is a dramatic mix of circus arts and street entertainment. 8 shows are currently running in Vegas, the two latest being The Beatles LOVE and Michael Jackson ONE. Be amazed by the stunts and wowed by the music! Watch for the sets coming out of the floor…powered by Nook Jacks, perhaps?
A way to be part of the motion instead of just watching it, is Caesar’s new High Roller. Catch the best views of the infamous Las Vegas strip on the world’s tallest observation wheel. At 550 feet tall, the wheel takes 30 minutes to complete one full revolution and features 28 glass-enclosed cabins that can hold up to 40 people.
